What is meant by fulfillment?

Fulfillment includes all activities following a customer order, such as order receipt, storage, picking, packing, labeling, shipping, invoicing, and returns processing. It may also include after-sales services (e.g., spare parts, repairs, customer support).

Fulfillment is often outsourced to specialized logistics service providers, particularly in e-commerce. E-Fulfillment refers to the digital processing of all fulfillment activities—from online order to delivery and returns.
