Multitouch technology in logistics refers to the targeted and efficient control of machines. Thanks to multitouch interfaces, users can operate systems more ergonomically.
These industrial PC systems are based on various technologies:
Resistive Touch:
This is the standard version, which does not support multitouch. Two transparent film layers are pressed together on the screen.
Projected Capacitive Touchscreen (PCAP):
These are conductive elements that allow for up to 10 simultaneous touch points.
Infrared Light Grid:
Allows for two touch points. Specialized infrared light barriers are used.
Diffused Illumination:
A camera constantly monitors the screen surface, allowing for an unlimited number of touch points.
