A pick list is the simplest method of providing order pickers with the information required to fulfill an order. It lists the items to be picked and is a core element of manual picking systems, which are widespread due to their flexibility. This paper-based method is considered the classic approach among picking methods, with low automation levels, making it simple and cost-effective. However, this low level of automation comes with a higher error potential, as the guidance given to pickers is minimal.
