A reservation range ensures that items within a specific category (e.g., identical best-before dates) are treated equally during reservation.
Example:
If an outbound order requires 1,000 chocolate bars, the system may prioritize retrieving a full pallet with a BBD of August 13 over splitting two pallets with BBDs of August 10 and August 12, even though the latter would be earlier by date.
