What is a shift level?

A shelf level refers to a horizontal row of storage bins at a specific height in a rack. Levels are numbered bottom to top, and level IDs in WMS are typically two-digit numbers (max. 99 levels).

Best practice: Start with spacing (e.g., 20, 30) to allow for later insertion of new levels (e.g., 25) without relabeling.
