A single-use pallet is a transport carrier intended for one-time use in logistics and warehousing. Compared to standardized Euro pallets, they are cheaper and more versatile, as they come in various dimensions. Their sizing is typically based on the specific goods being shipped. Unlike returnable pallets, single-use pallets have a higher environmental impact. Since they are not part of an exchange system, empty return trips cannot be avoided. Often, the pallet remains with the recipient. While less durable than multi-use pallets, single-use pallets can be treated to extend their lifespan. IPPC standards help prevent pest infestation, making the pallets suitable for import and export.
