Why do you need a supplier evaluation?

Supplier evaluation involves classifying suppliers into categories such as A, A/B, B, and C based on key performance indicators.

The evaluation is based on:

• Product quality
• Service level
• Pricing behavior
• Delivery reliability

If a supplier is rated as a C-supplier, new orders must be approved by the purchasing department.
