What is a transport order required for?

A transport order refers to logistical movements both within and outside of a warehouse. It is initiated by a customer request, followed by a transport order, resulting in a contract between the client and the carrier.

A transport order can contain multiple line items. The following order types are distinguished:

  • TPE (Storage)
  • TPV (Packaging)
  • TPU (Relocation)
  • TPA (Removal from storage)

A valid transport order must include the following details:

  • Pickup address and sender
  • Recipient and recipient address
  • Gross weight of the shipment
  • Dimensions of the packaging units
  • If applicable: hazardous material information, as well as pickup and delivery times
