What is meant by the term very narrow aisle forklift?

Very narrow aisle forklifts are motorized industrial trucks designed for operation in very narrow aisle systems. They offer the highest space efficiency due to their slim design.

  • High-performance electric motors with integrated counterweight
  • Can lift loads up to 1.5 tons

Variants:

  • Man-up devices: operator moves with the cabin to the picking location
  • Man-down devices: picking is done remotely via forks and mast
  • High-bay forklifts: equipped with telescopic forks or rotating fork systems

Guidance is typically via guide rails or induction loops. In pre-zones, very narrow aisle forklifts can move freely, often assisted by pre-zone transport vehicles.
