Future-proof technology

The Solution to Automation Challenges

We transcend brand boundaries to prepare companies for a connected, manufacturer-independent future. Our platform supports modern operations and reaps hidden efficiencies to prepare you for the years to come.

From Greenfield to Brownfield Projects

Whether it’s a new installation or an upgrade, the Warehouse Control System (WCS) system adapts to your specific needs. It operates independently of any materials handling technology, making it ideal for both retrofit (brownfield) and greenfield projects. When you build a new logistics center, we’re with you every step of the way to coordinate a holistic WCS interface for your selected software and automation systems. When you upgrade your warehouse, we ensure a smooth transition, connecting our material flow controller to your existing technology while ensuring that your system remains fully functional at all times during the upgrade. Our manufacturer-independent approach, combined with efficient project management, guarantees optimized workflows and real-time system monitoring during both installation and upgrades.

Reliability

Our software is designed to swiftly respond to disruptions in your material handling systems, ensuring smooth and continuous operations. With secure and dependable hosting provided by EPX, your systems are always protected. Plus, our 24/7 support from EPG guarantees that any issues are promptly addressed, ensuring uninterrupted performance around the clock.

3D Visualization (Digital Twin)

Accelerate deployment with virtual commissioning through emulation and a Digital Twin, enabling early, realistic tests in a virtual environment. Our integrated 3D material flow visualization, with an ‘immersive view,’ lets you explore your warehouse before it’s operational. The software visualizes and simulates your entire material flow, ensuring efficient use of handling technology and seamless system integration. The Digital Twin also functions as an emulation tool, allowing you to model warehouse management and control systems virtually, optimizing material flow and processes before implementation. Control center support through 3D visualization allows for easy monitoring and control via an intuitive 3D view of the system.

One Powerful Solution

WCS adapts to your existing infrastructure. The material flow control tool features an open interface for all automated systems – centralized or decentralized – regardless of platform, database, or hardware. By continuously collecting and analyzing movement data and KPIs, WCS optimizes workflows for economic efficiency. Leveraging TIMESQUARE, WCS gains an advanced control tower capability that provides comprehensive monitoring, predictive analytics, and enhanced coordination across the supply chain network. When paired with EPG’s warehouse management system (LFS), the benefits multiply – reducing hardware investment costs and opening up opportunities to use EPG’s private cloud solutions. Simplify and strengthen with a single system for powerful warehouse workflows.

Integration of Material Handling Equipment

Miniload

A miniload is an automated system that stores and retrieves small items like totes or boxes. It optimizes space with vertical storage, improves picking efficiency, reduces labor costs, and increases accuracy, making it ideal for high-volume industries like retail and e-commerce.

Conveyor & Sorter

A conveyor and sorter system is an automated material handling solution that transports and organizes items within a warehouse. It improves efficiency by moving products quickly through the facility and directing them to the correct destination, reducing manual handling and increasing throughput.

EMS (Electric Monorail System)

An EMS is an overhead transport system used to move materials between warehouse workstations. It is flexible and space-saving, allowing for efficient use of floor space while ensuring smooth, automated movement of goods throughout the facility.

AGV & AMR

AGVs and AMRs are robotic vehicles that transport goods autonomously in a warehouse. AGVs follow predefined paths, while AMRs use sensors and navigation to move dynamically. Both reduce labor costs and increase operational efficiency.

High-Bay Warehouse (HBW)

A High Bay Warehouse uses tall, narrow aisles and automated systems like cranes to store goods vertically. This maximizes storage density and is ideal for warehouses with limited space but high storage needs, offering improved space utilization and retrieval efficiency.

Shuttle System

A shuttle system is an automated storage and retrieval solution that moves goods between storage racks and picking stations. It enhances storage density, speeds up picking, and increases operational flexibility, making it ideal for fast-moving inventory.

Biggest AutoStore Project in Europe

AutoStore is an advanced automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) designed for high-density, space-efficient storage in warehouses. It uses robots to retrieve bins from a grid-based structure, optimizing warehouse space by up to 60%. The system is highly scalable and boasts 99.7% uptime, making it ideal for growing and dynamic operations.

Fiege, one of Europe’s leading logistics service providers, implemented the continent’s largest AutoStore system at its multi-user center. Spanning nearly 10,000 square meters, the system deploys 160 robots to store and retrieve 70,000 containers. EPG’s automation software integrates seamlessly with AutoStore, providing real-time control and optimization of material flows, significantly enhancing Fiege’s logistics capabilities and efficiency.
