EAS Chooses EPG’s Ground Handling System

Egypt, 26.05.2026

Egyptian Aviation Services (EAS) has recently signed a contract to implement EPG’s Ground Handling System (GHS). The aim is not only to fully digitize the ground handling provider’s billing processes, but also to introduce a comprehensive, integrated system covering operational and commercial core functions. This will significantly improve efficiency and transparency while ensuring that all services rendered are accurately and completely invoiced. The agreement marks an important milestone in EAS’s digital transformation and highlights the growing demand for integrated, market-proven systems in the aviation industry.

Digital Boost for Ground Handling in Egypt

EAS operates as a ground handling service provider at six locations across Egypt, offering services in ramp handling, operations (OPS), and passenger services. Until now, key business processes have largely been based on manual, paper-based workflows.

“By choosing GHS, we are taking a decisive step toward the digitalization of our processes and positioning ourselves for the future,” says Ahmed Elfangary, Chairman & CEO of EAS. “We are confident that, with EPG’s solution, we will benefit in the long term from a robust system for our contract and billing management.”

More Than Just a Billing System
With GHS, EAS will not only cover contract and billing management in the future but will also use a comprehensive system that integrates key operational functions. These include Smart Contract Management, Comprehensive Service Recording, Automated Processing, and Billing System Integration, as well as practical features designed to support and optimize daily ground handling operations. The goal is to ensure that all services provided are transparently recorded and fully invoiced. A special feature of this project is the digital integration with local tax authorities in Egypt. Standardized XML formats will be provided to enable legally compliant transmission of tax-relevant data and to sustainably support compliance requirements.

“With the decision to implement a fully integrated digital solution, EAS is setting the course for future-proof and scalable handling of its ground handling services,” says Ingo Richter, CEO Logistics Solutions at EPG. “This project exemplifies how aviation service providers can combine operational excellence with regulatory compliance through digitalization.” The project is currently in the implementation phase.
