Gain an in-depth understanding of the EPG ONE Warehouse Management System and learn to use the underlying settings for targeted warehouse setup. This includes in-depth master data setup for items and storage locations as well as detailed setup and configurations for inbound and outbound processes There will also be a focus on further analysis of warehouse operations. Extended real-world troubleshooting examples allow for application and rethinking of learned content.

Use the LFS terminology correctly 

Navigate the LFS interface and execute standard processes confidently 

Map and execute key warehouse standard processes in LFS (e.g. goods receipt, putaway, picking, loading, returns and cancellations) 

Understand and apply selected special processes such as multi-order picking, two‑step work packages, pick path optimization and cross docking in LFS 

Perform error analysis and troubleshooting independently 

Understand the fundamental “way of thinking” in LFS and transfer it to new situations

Our Course Content

Throughout the 5 days, participants work through practical examples and guided exercises to apply each concept directly in the system.

Module 1: Introduction, Basic Concepts and Warehouse Mapping

  • Start center configuration 
  • Creating new warehouses and companies 
  • Creating and maintaining keys for item data, transport equipment, storage locations 
  • Discussion of the different storage location types and implications for inbound and outbound processes 
  • Creating item data, transport equipment, storage locations  

Module 2: Inbound Processes – Putaway Maintenance and Creation

  • Concept of staging locations 
  • Creating and maintaining master data for inbound processes, e.g., printing, staging locations, authorizations 
  • Concept of item master and storage location master for putaway.  
  • Setting up putaway options 
  • Troubleshooting for Inbound processes, e.g., reprint of labels, printer troubleshooting, transport corrections 

Module 3: Outbound Processes - Picking

  • Creating different staging locations and consolidation locations for picking 
  • Differentiation of the picking process (e.g. packing, no packing involved) 
  • Configuration of different types of replenishments, picking options  
  • Maintaining and editing customers, prints and customer orders 
  • Working more efficiently when picking, e.g., set up of picking groups, route optimization 
  • Troubleshooting for picking process 

Module 4: Outbound Process – Packing and Loading

  • Preparing and maintaining master data for packing and loading processes, e.g., shipping handling units, loading gates. 
  • Tailoring services and events to customer and project needs 
  • Mapping imported data (LFS) to CnB services and pay codes 

Module 5: Special Processes and Further Troubleshooting Practice

  • Working with mandatory paths 
  • Atomization of picking allocations 
  • ABC analysis 
  • Additional order line texts 
  • Change of morphological data 
  • Warehouse reporting and statistics 
  • User maintenance 
  • Troubleshooting across the processes

Prerequisites
