EPG (Ehrhardt Partner Group) has received the Benelux Enterprise Award 2025 in the category “Supply Chain Tech Innovation of the Year” for its routing and optimization software Greenplan. The jury recognized the measurable contribution of the solution to more efficient logistics processes and sustainable transport planning. The award honors companies in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg that drive economic growth through innovation, digitalization, and sustainability. It also highlights the increasing importance of intelligent route optimization in times of growing urbanization and tighter delivery schedules.

Greenplan was developed to answer one of the key questions in modern logistics: How can routes be planned efficiently, sustainably, and in a way that is practical for real-world use? For every calculation, Greenplan takes into account a wide range of real-world factors, from time-dependent traffic flows and delivery windows to individual restrictions and seasonal variations. What makes it unique is that Greenplan does not just determine the shortest route, but the most realistic one. Its dynamic algorithm continuously adapts to changing conditions in real time, such as traffic jams, new orders, or weather-related delays. Businesses benefit from more reliable planning, higher utilization, and significantly reduced empty miles.” Greenplan is based on decades of logistics experience and mathematical precision,” explains Carolin Pieper, routing expert at Greenplan. “The solution shows how data intelligence can be directly translated into efficiency and sustainability.”
Sustainability as a Key Selection Criterion
One of the main reasons for the award was the software’s measurable contribution to sustainability. By reducing unnecessary mileage and vehicle use, Greenplan directly helps lower CO₂ emissions, fuel consumption, and noise pollution. At the same time, it eases the burden on transportation infrastructure and improves quality of life in urban areas. The social aspect is also gaining importance. Smarter route planning helps distribute working hours more evenly, reduce overtime, and minimize stressful situations—factors that have a positive impact on the job satisfaction of drivers and dispatchers.
“Our vision is a logistics industry that combines economic efficiency with social responsibility,” Pieper adds. “Greenplan helps our customers put that balance into measurable practice.”
Continuous Development Focused on Real-World Application
EPG continues to develop Greenplan in close collaboration with customers, partners, and research institutions. Recent updates include precise cost allocation per shipment in postal and parcel networks, intelligent optimization of refueling and charging breaks, and an enhanced driver app that integrates all route information and real-time feedback.
“We see innovation not as a finished process but as continuous improvement,” says Dr. Clemens Beckmann, CEO of Greenplan. “Our goal is to solve our customers’ real-world challenges with practical technology and create measurable added value for both business and the environment.”
Greenplan at ICT & Logistiek in Utrecht
Following its recognition with the Benelux Enterprise Award, Greenplan is now showcasing its solutions at ICT & Logistiek in Utrecht, the leading platform for digital and sustainable supply chain solutions in the region. There, EPG is demonstrating how precise route planning, resource conservation, and economic efficiency can be seamlessly combined in transport logistics. “The Benelux region is an important driver of innovation for sustainable logistics. Being not only recognized here but also able to present our solution directly to industry professionals holds special significance for us,” concludes Beckmann.
